La Santa confirms its commitment to the environment by repopulating the space with native species

One of the actions carried out as part of the ISO 20121 certification, which confirms La Santa’s commitment to sustainability, is the repopulation of the space at Santa Cristina Horse Club with native species, especially the Mediterranean hackberry. This ancient tree has been part of the EmpordĂ  ecosystem for many years, specifically the Riudaura and Vall d’Aro basins, and has been repeatedly threatened by other invasive species in recent times.

With the goal of preserving the environment and guaranteeing sustainability, as well as recovering the native species that are representative of the area, La Santa has repopulated the Santa Cristina Horse Club with a series of native plants and shrubs, most notably featuring the Mediterranean hackberry. It is a unique, robust and hard tree that can live for 500 to 600 years on all types of land.
